Teaching our history
When the sixteenth Century Laws in Wales Act of Henry VIII of England illegally annexed our land in breach of Magna Carta, it spelt the beginning of a long systematic destruction of the identity and culture of Ergyng, which had been largely self-governing until that point. Our land is rich in its own independent story, with many heroic and influential figures. It is our mission to re-ignite awareness and pride in our regional identity, for the benefit of all.
Championing our land
Our land has been broken-up under separate English government administrations and councils. These government authorities have failed time and again to correctly manage our environment and economy, and champion our rich Celtic British history and identity. We will seek to reverse this systematic neglect by building awareness of our homeland both nationally and internationally.
Protecting our heritage
Since the Laws in Wales Act our native Welsh language has been systematically extinguished, and local children continue not to be taught even a basic awareness of Welsh or the meaning of their ancient local Place Names. Our ancient historical sites continue to be lost, neglected, inaccessible and hidden from excavation. Ergyng has no regional economic plan satisfactorily modelled to our rich history and the outstanding natural beauty of of our hills, forest, rivers and valleys. We seek to reverse this.
